Brand and Web Audit
We took a close look at Folktable’s organization, reputation, and public presence. This enabled us to identify an effective strategy to bring their brand to life.
A minimalistic and symbolic logo, earth tones, custom illustrations—these are the unique aspects that we developed for Folktable’s brand.
We designed a simple, photography rich website that features Folktable’s unique dishes, shares its commitment to sustainable agriculture, and tells its story. Making a reservation and contacting Folktable are the main calls to action.
We designed the logo to be simple at first glance and more intricate upon further inspection. While the font is easy to read, it communicates sophistication. A viewer might think there is no graphic design and the logo is simply typography, but the letters actually form a table, which works to ground the design.
A purposefully earthy color palette was chosen and applied to a myriad of iconic vegetable shapes. Colors that reflected the vibrancy in the farm fresh food were mixed with design assets that speak to the high standards of the restaurant. We wanted to build a brand that reflected the elevated atmosphere of Sonoma while maintaining its roots.
Folktable’s colors, fonts, and design elements came together to make a clearly-organized custom menu for the restaurant. These custom branded menus are only outshined by the food depicted inside them.
